These old wooden shuttles originate from Shandong province in China. Around 1900, they were part of traditional looms and used over many years in everyday weaving.
The wood is dark and marked by time, the surface smoothed through use. It is these traces that give the shuttles their quiet, distinctive presence.
Sold as a set of two.
Each shuttle is displayed on a simple metal stand that allows the form and material to speak for themselves. Small irregularities are part of their history and add to their individual character.
